Invivo wines hit UK shelves

June 2011: Invivo Wines, a boutique New Zealand winery has gone on sale for the first time in the UK with wines including its award-winning Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and a surpisingly good, low calorie, low alcohol wine called Bella.

After starting life as an idea in a London pub between two 30-year-old former Kiwi schoolmates and since its first harvest in 2008, Invivo Wines has rapidly grown into a multi award winning winery. Championed by influential designers, fashionistas and musicians alike, Invivo Wines has captured the taste buds of some of the UK’s most prestigious stores including Harvey Nichols, The Sampler (in Kensington and Islington) as well as the Telegraph Wine Club.

One of Invivo’s most popular wines is its Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with its intense tropical notes with fresh sliced bell peppers and floral lime zest. Fans include Graham Norton who now drinks nothing other than Invivo’s Sauvignon Blanc on set and who personally requested the wine to give to his celebrity guests appearing on the Graham Norton Show.

Sister wine, Bella, has 30% less alcohol (9%abv) and 30% fewer calories (92 calories per 150ml glass or 62 calories per 100ml glass. And the flavour, body and citrus freshness has not disappeared along with the alcohol – so its perfect those who love the Sauvignon Blanc but are looking for a more health conscious drink.

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, RRP of £12.99.

Bella by Invivo, sold exclusively at Harvey Nicholls, RRP £14.
