Gin nosing glass also accommodates the mixer

As a sponsor of Glasgow city’s first GinFest in October, Glencairn Crystal is giving its famous whisky glass a new twist.

Glencairn Glass brand director Andy Davidson explains: “Our design and development team has given our ‘official whisky drinking glass’ a new twist to accommodate mixers.”

GinFest is being organised by the Gin Factory and spokesperson Belinda Price says: “It’s brilliant that Glencairn have helped sponsor the event by developing the original shape and size of the Glencairn Glass with a twist for GinFest.

“People want to nose the new gins that have been developed before they start and the Glencairn mixer glass is ideal for that. In general gin is not drunk neat and this new glass allows us to accommodate the addition of a mixer to the gin after nosing it.”

GinFest takes place at the Barras Art and Design Centre, Glasgowon, on October 4.
