Proscecco shines in stardust bottle

Bottega launches Stardust, a Prosecco in a bottle covered in tiny crystals, and a caramel flavoured grappa liqueur.

At the TFWA show in Cannes, Bottega, the Italian distillery and winery, reinforced its visibility with a sparkling showcase of its latest products. The highlight of the show being Bottega Stardust, a Prosecco Dry DOC, which shone out in its attractive packaging: the traditional dark green glass is entirely covered by a myriad of tiny crystals, bringing to mind a sky full of stars.

Another attractive new product on display was Bottega Caramel, a new grappa-based, sweet creamy liqueur with seductive and evocative aromas and flavour of caramel.

Bottega has invested heavily in the travel retail sector sector to expand its global presence. Managing director Sandro Bottega foresaw the great potential of this market and today Bottega is one of the leading players with products listed with more than 50 airlines and all of the most important duty free shops.

Amongst the existing products on show in Cannes, was the iconic Bottega Gold, a Prosecco Brut, and Rose Gold, a Pinot Noir rosé, as well as Limoncino, Bottega’s version of the popular Italian lemon infused liqueur: the only one on the market containing a percentage of grappa. For the first time since 1996 (year of launch), Limoncino Bottega has broken through the wall of a million bottles per year (figures refer to sales of the last twelve months (July 2014 – June 2015).
