Tim Croxson Croxsons

Packaging Innovations is set to return to NEC Birmingham 27 and 28 February 2019 with a wealth of exhibitors showcasing the latest and greatest in packaging technologies. Tim Croxson, chief operating officer, Croxsons, who will be exhibiting at the show, talks about the Croxsons brand.

 

What sets Croxsons apart from other brands on show at Packaging Innovations?

Croxsons offers a complete range of packaging and closures, including glass & PET containers, closures to match, as well as decoration, all from a single source. A family owned business for 145 years, Croxsons enjoys a rich and unique heritage. The main reason for our ongoing success is a relentless attention to execution, not just in delivering a product, but also in providing service excellence. And by understanding our clients’ needs and proactively dealing with their challenges, we deliver a ‘more than packaging’ approach. 

 

Over the years you’ve worked with a lot of brands, what has been your most memorable collaboration?

Lewis Road Creamery — cream liqueur packaging:

This project started with an idea and within 48 hours we had a concept and drawing, which was signed off within another 36 hours. The decorated and embossed bottles were manufactured within 9 weeks, completing a stimulating project that really pushed the boundaries.

Jameson Irish Whiskey:

We have had a long relationship with Chivas/Irish Distillers, built over many years. Two projects are particularly memorable: Jameson Bitters and Jameson Cold Brew. The packaging for both challenged our supply chain to a) produce something out of the normal for the former, and b) create a new segment as a brand extension for the latter. 


What new products do you have up your sleeve?

Such is the nature of our service orientation, all new projects require in-depth consultation and the application of bespoke innovative solutions. This process is underlined by our brand statement ‘A Family of Packaging’, which conveys the importance we place in nurturing business relationships, whilst also demonstrating the breadth and completeness of our offering. And by being able to provide our clients with single-source, multi-choice glass packaging and closure expertise, we can offer a fully immersive customer journey.
