Paco & Lola limited edition liquor launched
A limited edition liquor has been launched by Spanish producer Adegas Rosalia de Castro in distinctive packaging that the company describes as “minimalist and original”. James Graham reports
Only 3,000 bottles of Paco & Lola will be released by Meaño–based Adegas Rosalia de Castro from this month.
The 30% ABV liquor is made from the distillation of the husks of the Albariño grape (orujo) macerated for three months with fresh raspberries. The drink will retail in a gift box for €29.90 or six individual bottles for shelf display.
The producer describes it as having a “a sweet touch, perfect for drinking chilled by itself or with delicious chocolate desserts”.
An attempt to create a “sophisticated and trendy” bottle design with lavish packaging means the product is presented in the style of a perfume or a “haute couture jewel”, tuning it into a stylish and suggestive liquor, says the company.
The drink has already been exported to markets in Japan, the Netherlands and Germany.
