US wholesale compliance software launched

Colorado-based wine industry software house ShipCompliant has launched its ShipCompliant Wholesale package which offers the industry’s first wholesale compliance check for domestic US wine logistics operations.

The wholesale compliance check analyses every invoice against a set of more than 20 different rule types to ensure that every product is properly registered, renewals and revisions are up to date, licenses are valid, product prices are consistent with what has been posted in price posting states and product limits have not been exceeded.

Seamless integration with government databases simplifies the setup and management process with state rule tracking; distributor and territory management; automated product (brand and label) registrations and renewals; compliance checks; price management; price posting; vintage change, bottle size change, and ABV change product revisions; and web service API access for synchronising data with wholesale invoice management, inventory and accounting solutions.

Jeff Carroll, ShipCompliant director of product management said: “When we surveyed the industry about the challenges of wholesale compliance, the most common frustration was the lack of visibility and control. It became clear immediately that a comprehensive solution would allow wineries to focus on marketing and selling their wines effectively, especially in this down economy.”
