Ardbeg launches super-peaty Supernova

Islay malt whisky Ardbeg has produced a second edition of Ardbeg Supernova – SN2010 – to be released on May 31.

This limited edition release, with its explosive smoky flavours and very high peating level is some 40% more peaty than the distillery’s renowned and already very heavily peated flagship – Ardbeg Ten Years Old.

It follows the worldwide success of the first Ardbeg Supernova released in 2009 which was test launched first as a limited bottling for the distillery’s fan club the Ardbeg Committee (where it sold out online in under two hours) followed by a wider market release.

Ardbeg SN2010 has the same very high peat levels as the 2009 release but a higher strength at 60.1% ABV and deeper, earthier character. RRP £80.00.
