Selected from Janneau’s large stocks, the new line comprises four Armagnacs with different minimum periods of ageing: 8 year old, 12 year old, 18 year old and 25 year old, which is clearly defined on each of the 50cl bottles. The contemporary-style packaging was the result of a joint effort by Janneau's in-house creatives and Daedalus, a packaging agency based in Angoulème.
Unusual in Armagnac, where most Armagnacs are distilled only once, the Single Distillery range is entirely produced using the double distillation method, and the Single Distillery name indicates that it is distilled, aged and bottled uniquely at the House of Janneau in the heart of the Armagnac region. Janneau was one of the first Armagnac producers to reintroduce double distillation to the region in 1972, fervently believing that when fused with the specificity of the Armagnac ‘terroir’ gives a finer quality to the spirit.
The Single Distillery is a soft, fruity and fine style that is tastefully packaged in elegant coordinating drums. A new concept in Armagnac, that confirms its place as a premium AOC spirit.
