Vavasour Wine appoints D&D Wines in UK

D&D Wines International, wine suppliers to the UK and Irish markets, has been appointed UK agent for Vavasour Wine Company, part of Foley Family Wines. The UK portfolio includes the Dashwood, Clifford Bay, Vavasour, Redwood Pass, Pebble Row and Goldwater wine brands.

Vavasour pioneered grape growing in the Awatere Valley sub region of Marlborough, planting the first vines of the Awatere region in 1985. Estimated to be within the top 10 wine companies in New Zealand in terms of volume, it owns 220 acres of Awatere Valley vineyards and a 2,500 tonne winery facility with future expansion planned. With some of the highest–rated Sauvignon Blancs in New Zealand, the winery says it is “extremely proud” to have contributed to the Marlborough region’s success, each of its brands has won major competition trophies in the past three years.
