Jeanjean Languedoc with its UK distributor D&D Wines International has created a new wine brand, Maison du Languedoc - the first brand to encompass the entire region. The aim is to generate a greater awareness and understanding of the Languedoc as a whole by including varietal IGP and AOP wines from every part of this most diverse wine-growing region of France.
The wine styles were developed specifically for the UK market using the combined know-how of Jeanjean winemaker Iain Munsdon and D&D Wines International winemaker Ivo Hasler (both British and both resident in the Languedoc) who worked to make tailor-made wines, in partnership with Jeanjean’s own estates and long term partner growers. Winemaking strategy went from vineyard choice through winemaking and on to final blending.
The full Maison du Languedoc range comprises: AOP Treasures – Faugères red, Picpoul white; AOP Terroir Selection – Minervois red, Corbières red, Languedoc red, Languedoc rosé, Languedoc white; IGP (Vin de Pays d’Oc) varietals –Grenache-Merlot red, Grenache/Syrah red, Grenache/Cinsault rosé, Chardonnay/Grenache white, and Grenache/Muscat white
