Ballantine's launches new blended Scotch

Ballantine’s 40 Year Old, 43% abv, blended Scotch whisky has been created by master distiller Sandy Hyslop to fulfill founder George Ballantine’s aspiration to produce the most exceptional and exquisite whisky..."only when the time is right”.

Presented in a wooden cabinet, the bespoke bottle features an etching of the Ballantine’s crest alongside Sandy Hyslop’s signature. British silversmith Richard Fox crafted five sterling silver elements – the stopper, collar, seal, label and base cup, each individually hallmarked.

Chivas Brothers, the Scotch whisky and premium gin business of Pernod Ricard, says it will only release 100 bottles of the blend globally each year. Individually numbered bottles will be priced at a minimum US$7,000. The brand was introduced into Korea in market and will begin its global rollout starting in Asian duty free stores from September.
