Ballantine’s is repackaged for festive season

Ballantine’s Finest and Ballantine’s 12 Year Old expressions have been given a face-lift with a choice seasonal gift packs.

Building on the brand’s ‘Beyond’ global marketing platform, the gift pack for Ballantine’s 12 Year Old is inspired by “a world of visual illusion and hidden messages”.

The metal container features the age statement in a textual pattern surrounding the silhouette of a hidden bottle. Debossed tasting notes are placed inside the lid of the gift tin, along with an embossed logo and age statement. A combination of print techniques with a gloss varnish, the gift tin aims to entice consumers to pick it up to experience its tactile qualities and further explore its innovative design.

In addition to the Ballantine’s 12 gift tin, Ballantine’s Finest is launching two gift packs ahead of the festivities.

The blue gift tin features the Ballantine’s Finest visual cues, in line with the expression’s new outer carton. The wrap-around design highlights an embossed crest and logo on both sides, while a debossed seal and signature is on the inside of the lid.

For a younger audience, an alternative gift pack for Ballantine’s Finest is offered – a stylish zip case carry pack. Made of high-density nylon, the pack includes an engraved tin-plate plaque.

Gift packs are available for 70cl, 75cl and 1L products. The limited edition packs will be available in more than 40 markets from the beginning of December 2012.
