Maple syrup added to Crown Royal whisky

Diageo brand Crown Royal has moved into the growing flavoured whisky category with Crown Royal Maple Finished.

The finish is achieved by running the whisky through maple toasted oak, resulting in light maple-sweet flavour, followed by a warm, woody caramelised note.

Rich colours of amber and topaz blend to create a full-bodied appearance. The nose incorporates the light, fresh maple combined with caramel and vanilla.

The packaging is a slight variation on the classic Crown Royal style, incorporating warm colours of copper and auburn into the label, which displays the traditional image of the maple leaf in the background. The brown bag that accompanies the bottle features gold embroidery.
