Family Botran exhibits Guatemalan rums

Ron Añejo Botran showcased its flagship dark rums for the first time at the TFWA World Exhibition last month in Cannes.

The fully integrated family-owned Botran rum brand has been producing fine rums from Guatemala for more than six decades.

Botran Solera 1893 is a blend of select rums aged between 5 and 18 years, offering balance and roundness, while Botran Reserva is a blend of Solera rums aged between 5 and 14 years, which imparts an approachable complexity with well balanced-flavours of freshness and age.

The rums are aged in a combination of American whiskey, re-charred American whiskey, sherry and port barrels, allowing the liquid to take on the characteristics of each.

Frank Quinones, global director of Botran Rums comments: “Our brand has been well received in the Americas travel retail and we are keen to replicate this success globally.”
