Drinkaware, the UK’s leading alcohol education charity, has appointed Elaine Hindal as its new CEO. She succeeds Chris Sorek, who returned to the US earlier in the year, and will take up her new post in January 2013.
Hindal brings experience from both the charity and commercial sectors. She joins from The Children’s Society where she has been director of advocacy and communication since 2009. Prior to that, her international marketing and commercial strategy experience includes senior positions at Nokia, Cadbury Schweppes and The Coca–Cola Company. She is also a Trustee of the Brain Research Trust.
