Martell to acquire Le Maine au Bois

Pernod Ricard subsidiary Martell & Co has agreed with Lassalle to purchase Le Maine au Bois SAS. The company, located in Saint-Eugene, which is in the Petite Champagne are at the heart of the Cognac region, is a trader-winemaker, distiller and wholesaler with high-quality eaux-de-vie of all ages and state-of-the-art facilities, notably the distillery.

This acquisition reflects Pernod Ricard's ambitions regarding long term development of its Martell range, a leader in the XO cognac category. Closing of the acquisition should take place before June 30, 2013.
