In making the appointment, Broker’s founder Martin Dawson said, “We are delighted to have attracted a spirits marketer of Peter’s experience and calibre to work on our brand which has had such phenomenal growth and recognition in the increasingly dynamic gin sector”.
Peter has racked up many years’ experience in the spirits business having previously helped build Appleton Estate Jamaica rum for 13 years into one of the most sought after global rum brands. Prior to that he worked on Camus Cognac and Allied Domecq’s rums, gins and liqueurs.
Peter joins at a time when the premium sector of the gin market is expanding globally and the category is attracting a greater share of interest from gin consumers and trade alike.
“This is a great move and challenge for me, as gin is clearly spirits’ most exciting category right now and Broker’s 40% per annum growth over the past five years puts them right at the forefront of the gin revolution. We are already available in over 50 markets worldwide and my key objective is to consolidate and build on the great success that the founders Martin and Andy Dawson and their team have created. Plus, I get to wear the iconic bowler hat that has become a wonderful symbol of the brand!”
Broker’s Gin is made to a 200 year old London Dry Gin recipe using ten hand selected natural botanicals, quadruple-distilled pure grain spirit from English wheat, and produced in a traditional copper pot still.
