RubyBlue introduces chilli pepper liqueur

RubyBlue, the craft liqueur produced in the North of Ireland by the Hughes family, has launched a new flavour – Chilli Pepper – the fourth in the range.

Hughes Craft Distilery was founded in 2010 when the husband and wife team came across an old Irish recipe based on an ancient methed of preserving Irish berries.

Starting with a blackcurrant liqueur, or cassis, the range has grown to include wild blueberry, cranberry and now whole chilli pepper.

Each variety starts with a base of Irish grain spirit that has been five times distilled and charcol filtered. Using fresh fruit,  selected botanicals and a bottle-aging process, the result is a naturally sweet, not syrupy, liqueur, which has won medals in Ireland, London and the US.

Distillnation, London, is the UK distributor for RubyBlue.
