Borgmann1772 arrives in London

Premium German herbal liqueur brand Borgmann1772, is making its UK debut with an exclusive listing in Soho alcohol emporium - Gerry’s Wines and Spirits, from this week.

Produced for over a century in the laboratories of the royal court-appointed Borgmann family pharmacy in Brunswick, Germany, the liqueur’s formula remains a family secret, passed from one generation to the next. Renowned for its sell-out limited edition bottles by artists in the fields of design, style and music, the brand hopes to replicate its homeland success in the UK market.

“The UK bar scene is one of the most creative and dynamic in the world in my opinion,” says Joern Clausen, MD of Borgmann & Clausen in Berlin, “and with the demand for Borgmann1772 on the increase in the UK, we felt an iconic institution such Gerry’s was the perfect location for our first UK listing.”

Distributed in the UK by the premium spirits business - Marblehead Brand Development, Borgmann1772 will be available to buy exclusively in-store and online at  / 74 Old Compton Street, Soho, London W1D 4UW. The liqueur is 29%abv and has an RRP of £26.

Jan and Hendrik Borgmann’s family has been running a pharmacy for over three hundred years in Braunschweig, Germany. One part of the pharmacy’s business has always been a handmade traditional premium herb infused liqueur, created for the health and well-being of their customers. Production and bottling is still done in the pharmacy’s laboratory in Braunschweig. The Borgmans brand was founded in Berlin in 2006 by the two Borgmann Brothers Jan and Hendrik and their long-time friend Joern Clausen.
