Sophie Brown joins Quintessential Brands

Quintessential Brands, the international drinks company, has appointed Sophie Brown as group chief financial officer.

Sophie was previously CFO at Leeds Bradford International Airport, the Bridgepoint portfolio company, which she joined in 2008.  Prior to this Sophie was deputy group financial controller for three years at Northern Foods.

Sophie’s role as CFO for the Quintessential Brands Group, which owns G&J Distillers, the UK’s oldest producer of premium London Dry Gin, will encompass the Quintessential Brands operation based in Soho, London, as well as G&J Distillers (formerly G&J Greenall’s) and Essential Drinks, both in Warrington, Cheshire.

Quintessential Brands has appointed Sophie as part of its on-going strategy to create one of the leading European independent international spirits companies.

Quintessential Brands co-founder, Warren Scott, comments: “With Sophie’s experience in the FMCG sector, together with her broad exposure at senior level, she will be a valuable addition to our team and support our ambitious plans for the business.”

Sophie adds: “I am delighted to be joining Quintessential Brands at this exciting stage in the Group’s expansion and I very much look forward to working as a team to drive the business forward to deliver our ambitious plans.”

The Quintessential Brands portfolio includes Greenall's Original Gin, Bloom Gin, Berkeley Square London Dry Gin, Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin and Toussaint Coffee Rum Liqueur which are all produced by G&J Distillers.

The Quintessential Brands Group was founded by Enzo Visone and Warren Scott and the Group includes the companies Quintessential Brands, G&J Distillers, the distilling and bottling division, and Essential Drinks, the business to business supply division.
