Modern feminine image for new Codorniu Cava

Anna Blanc de Blancs, the most recent offering from Codorniu, hopes to revolutionise the world of Cavas.

The new product’s branding and bottle design have been created by Optima Brand Design, an agency specialising in wines, spirits and luxury goods, and a favoured partner of the Catalan Bodega. The design is bold, with an unprecedented modernity and a subtlety, which “reveals the feminine essence of this Cava”.

Patrice Rouillard, Optima Brand Design director says: “The choice of white is not without significance. In Spain, the name Anna is historically emblematic of the modern and tasteful women. Our aim was to enable Anna to distinguish itself, following a single key word: elegance.”

Anna Blanc de Blanc was launched at the end of 2013 into high-end restaurants and bars. It is a brand extension of Anna de Codorniu, but produced from different grapes – mostly of Chardonnay with only a small blend of the DO Cava grapes Xarello & Parellada.

The new Blanc de Blanc Cava has been created for both the Spanish and international markets with a RRP of around €10.
