Kilchoman releases travel retail exclusive

Kilchoman Distillery is launching its first whisky exclusively for the travel retail market, a classic Islay malt called Coull Point, after a famously rugged headland two miles north of the distillery.

Coull Point will initially be available exclusively from 14 World of Whisky travel retail shops in the UK.  Coull Point will be priced at £44.99.

Managing director of Kilchoman, Anthony Wills, said:  “We are delighted to get a listing with World of Whisky duty free.  It’s a great platform to build awareness for our brand and introduce Kilchoman to new whisky drinkers.”

Coull Point on Islay is just half a mile north of Machir Bay, after which Kilchoman’s award-winning core expression was named.  Continuing in the tradition of naming its whiskies after landmarks on Islay, the new travel retail product is branded Coull Point, and the packaging, designed by Craig Mackinlay of Breeze Creative, will feature this dramatic Islay landscape. The bottles are from Saverglass, the cartons from Simply Cartons, and the labels from Multi labels.
