Cruzan rum introduces peach flavour

Cruzan Peach Rum is the latest addition to this portfolio of premium, flavoured rums owned by Beam Inc. Now available across the US, this new spirit blends Cruzan Rum with the sweet taste of ripe peaches to create a flavour “reminiscent of the summer season’s finest fruit harvest”. 

Cruzan master distiller Gary Nelthropp, whose family has been making rum on the island of St. Croix for generations, distills the rums from high-quality molasses and tropical rainwater using a unique five-column process.

“Cruzan is constantly searching for the freshest flavors and innovations that will appeal to loyal fans of our rum, as well as those trying it for the first time,” says Brendan Lynch, senior director of rums and cordials at Beam Inc. “That’s why we are especially excited to introduce Cruzan Peach to the Cruzan Rum family.” 

“This flavour embodies the spirit of St. Croix and is the perfect addition to any cocktail that rum lovers will want to enjoy this season and beyond,” adds Nelthropp.

Cruzan Peach is now available with an RRP of US$14.99 per 75cl bottle.

Cruzan Peach suggested cocktails by Cruzan master mixologist Jesse Card:

Cruzan High Tai'd
Ingredients:
1 part Cruzan Peach Rum
1 part Cruzan Estate Diamond Dark Rum
1/2 part DeKuyper Triple Sec liqueur
3/4 part fresh lime juice
3/4 part Orgeat syrup

Method: Combine all ingredients over ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously and pour into a double old fashioned glass over ice. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.

Cruzan Peach Swing
Ingredients:
1 1/2 parts Cruzan Peach Rum
1/2 part Spiced Honey Syrup
6 fresh basil leaves
Lime wedge
Soda
Method: Lightly muddle lime wedge, Spiced Honey Syrup and basil in a shaker. Add ice and Cruzan Peach Rum. Shake lightly, pour into Collins glass over ice and top with soda. Garnish with a sprig of basil.
