Spiced London Dry gin takes off in mobile bar

Greenall’s Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin, owned by Quintessential Brands and distilled by G&J Distillers, is to have its first mobile bar in the UK in the form of the Opihr Tuk Tuk. Spanish artist Andi Rivas has hand painted the Tuk Tuk in the bright colours of the Opihr livery.

Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin is a unique style of London Dry Gin, which was launched in 2013 at Imbibe. The Opihr Tuk Tuk, manned by mobile cocktail bar experts Bitter Twisted, will be introducing the new gin to consumers at festivals across the UK this summer and at off- and on-trade venue events and tastings throughout the year.

Freddie Kampman, international brand manager at Quintessential Brands comments: “With dynamic growth, both in the UK and in Europe, and listings in Waitrose, Harvey Nichols, over 120 Mitchells & Butlers Country Dining pubs, as well as All Bar Ones and Barworks sites in the UK, momentum is building for Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin, which fills a gap in the market for a quality spiced gin.”

The gin forms part of the company’s Great British Gin Collection, which is made up of a range of 70cl premium and super premium gins, all distilled in traditional copper pot stills at G&J Distillers in Warrington. The other gins in the collection are: Greenall’s The Original London Dry Gin - juniper-led classic gin style, £15.49; BLOOM Gin – floral and light, £24.00; and Berkeley Square Gin - a small batch, slow-distilled herbaceous gin, £35.00.
