Chase makes limoncello for Soho pizza house

Grown in Amalfi, distilled in England, and served in Soho, this summer sees the launch of Sohocello – a limited edition lemon flavoured spirit – the result of an exclusive collaboration between the Chase Distillery and London Soho restaurant Pizza Pilgrims.

Fusing single-origin Amalfi lemons with an English hand-crafted spirit, Sohocello is a continent apart from the sickly-sweet, mass-produced limoncello familiar to holidaymakers. It can be enjoyed straight-up, ice-cold – or in a host of refreshingly continental cocktails.

The top quality lemons are hand-peeled and macerated in Chase Distillery’s 96% Hereford potato spirit for seven days, every drop of the lemon oil having been extracted to provide Sohocello with the cloudiness expected of a premium limoncello.

Limited to just 1,000 bottles, Sohocello will be available at a handful of selected retailers, including Gerry’s Wines & Spirits in Old Compton St, Soho, as well as at Pizza Pilgrims in Dean Street, London for £25 per 50cl bottle, 29%abv.
