Lime liqueur added to Patrón Citrónge line

Patrón Spirits has launched a first brand extension to its Patrón Citrónge liqueur line. Patrón Citrónge Lime is an ultra-premium liqueur crafted from high-quality Persian limes cultivated in the Mexican states of Veracruz, Michoacán and Colima.

The Patrón Citrónge brand was first introduced in 1992 with the launch of Patrón Citrónge Orange liqueur.

“We originally developed Patrón Citrónge Orange liqueur to complement margaritas, and of course it’s still the ideal ingredient to prepare an authentic, high-quality margarita cocktail. But the versatility of this spirit is endless, and over the years bartenders and chefs have asked us to explore a lime flavour extension to widen the variety of cocktails and food recipes that are possible with this unique spirit. And that need has become even more compelling with the recent volatility of lime prices and availability,” said Ed Brown, president and CEO of Patrón Spirits International.

Patrón Citrónge Lime liqueur (35%ABV, 70 proof) is crisp and smooth, with the well-balanced juicy and sweet flavour of lime and a long-lasting finish. It can be mixed into any number of cocktails, or addited to sauces and desserts.

The cork-finished Patrón Citrónge Lime bottle was designed to align with the Patrón Citrónge Orange liqueur bottle. The package communicates the brand’s upscale, ultra-premium positioning, and the extended neck on the bottle also makes it easy to pour.

Patrón’s portfolio of ultra-premium luxury spirits – Patrón tequila, Ultimat vodka, and Pyrat rum – are available in more than 140 countries across the globe. The company’s flagship brand, Patrón tequila, is handcrafted from Weber Blue Agave plants. Tequilas in the Patrón portfolio consist of Gran Patrón Burdeos, Gran Patrón Piedra, Gran Patrón Platinum, Roca Patrón Silver, Roca Patrón Reposado, Roca Patrón Añejo, Patrón Silver, Patrón Reposado, and Patrón Añejo. The company also produces Patrón XO Cafe and Patrón XO Cafe Dark Cocoa (coffee liqueurs), and Patrón Citrónge (extra fine orange liqueurs), as well as Pyrat Caribbean rums, and Ultimat vodka.
