Elderflower liqueur added to Cartron range

The latest product from Joseph Cartron, distiller liquorist in Nuits-Saint-George, France, is an elderflower liqueur.

Joseph Cartron Elderflower Liqueur is produced from flowers selected in Australia and Hungary, which impart a soft, floral, and “agreeably tart”, fresh character.

When in contact with the freshly picked elderberry flowers, the water absorbs their delicate perfume; it is then racked. Crystallized sugar is added before heating the mixture in order to obtain, by the natural evaporation of the water, a very aromatic concentrated nectar. To this extract is added pure alcohol in specific proportions. The slow incorporation of the crystallized sugar then naturally lowers the alcohol content and develops the elderflower flavour.

Joseph Cartron produces and distributes to 45 countries a large range of products: Crèmes de Cassis de Bourgogne, Crèmes de Fruits Rouges, Marc and Fine de Bourgogne, Eaux-de-Vie de fruits, a variety of  ‘Grande Tradition Liqueurs', Burgundy aperitifs and Crémant de Bourgogne.

The tall, slim and elegant glass bottles, designed with the bartender in mind – easy to hold and pour, combine tradition and modernity.
