Jefferson’s very small batch premium bourbon and the Presidential range are the latest addition to the Cellar Trends whisky portfolio. Cellar Trends will be distributing the premium and super-premium bourbons to top-end bars, restaurants and hotels throughout the UK as well as specialist whisky retailers.
Master blender Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a bourbon historian, set up the Jefferson’s bourbon blending business in 2001.
Jefferson’s flagship Bourbon and Jefferson’s Reserve Bourbon are produced by blending spirit from eight to 12 barrels of varying ages. Jefferson’s says it seeks to challenge the view ‘of what bourbon can be’ by focusing on very small batch runs and pushing the boundaries of the definition of bourbon. The company was named after US President Thomas Jefferson because of the founding father’s curiosity, experimental spirit and, ultimately, his sophistication.
Jefferson’s flagship Bourbon will retail for £37 and Jefferson’s Reserve for £55.
Terry Barker, marketing and sales director of Cellar Trends says: “The addition of Jefferson’s Bourbon enhances an already prestige line up of whiskies in our portfolio. Cellar Trends has a proven track record as brand builders as well as strong whisky credentials and a passion to complement our portfolio with a bourbon whisky.
