STI Group wins Pro Carton ECMA Award

Selecting the best folding boxes from 120 submissions in eight categories was not an easy decision for the Pro Carton ECMA Award international jurors. “The large number of excellent, successful solutions and the overall coherence of the concepts presented just goes to show the level of professionalism in this [packaging] industry,” noted chairman of the jury Satkar Gidda, sales and marketing director of London-based packaging design consultancy SiebertHead.

Steffen Mossbacher, head of packaging at STI Group’s Insight Center, was therefore delighted when the company’s distinctive Jim Beam gift packaging won the top award in the Beverages category at a ceremony in Sorrento, Italy last week.

According to the jurors, the STI Group packaging not only protects the bottle effectively, it also adorns it beautifully. Warm gold and brown colours perfectly capture the mild character of this distinctive bourbon. The jury determined the winning entries using a number of criteria, including structural and graphic design, sustainability and marketing concept.
