Auchentoshan releases American Oak expression

Auchentoshan American Oak is the latest release from the single malt Lowland Scotch whisky distillery known for its triple distillation process. The new expression is the first Auchentoshan to be matured exclusively in first fill ex bourbon casks. It will be a permanent member of the core Auchentoshan portfolio, which includes Auchentoshan 12 Year Old, Three Wood, 18 Year Old and the limited release 21 Year Old, in addition to select vintage, limited edition releases.

The name American Oak refers to the 100 year old oak trees (of the Quercus alba species) grown in the North American mountains which are used to make the bourbon casks., which will eventually be used to age this new Auchentoshan Scotch whisky expression.
