La Martiniquaise, the independent French spirits group, has expanded its Label 5 blended Scotch whisky range with a new expression: Label 5 Gold Heritage. This new offer, which was recently awarded with a double gold medal at the China World Spirit Award, was unveiled at TFWA Cannes last week.
Master blender Graham Coull has included malts aged more than 20 years to present a profile that lies uniquely between the smokey and peated flavours of malt whisky and the creamy vanilla notes of grain whisky. The smooth character of Label 5 has been accentuated with subtle woody hints and spicy notes.
“Label 5 Gold Heritage is a personal achievement for me. Building on the traditions of Label 5, I have hand-selected whiskies from different ages and casks which marry together to produce a wonderfully balanced blend. The result is an exceptionally smooth whisky loaded with fruit, spice, warm vanilla oak and subtle smoke, which offers a unique taste experience,” says Graham Coull.
The packaging echoes the Label 5 Classic Black and conveys a premium look through the use of the gold and brown colours, which also reflect the warm and inviting atmosphere of whisky tasting moments.
Label 5 Gold Heritage is 40%abv and has an RRP of US$40.
It will be available worldwide starting with launches in the US, followed by China, and Australia.
