Edinburgh Gin introduces new festive flavour

Edinburgh Gin has introduced a Christmas inspired flavour to its range of gins. The new limited edition gin, developed at the Edinburgh Gin distillery in partnership with Heriot-Watt University School of Distilling, is infused with the traditional festive spices of frankincense, myrrh and nutmeg.

Alex Nicol, managing director of Spencerfield Spirit that owns Edinburgh Gin, says: “This is a bold move for us but we think it perfectly represents our innovative distilling and unique ideas for flavouring. We use original Edinburgh Gin and infuse it with the tastes of frankincense, myrrh and nutmeg, which really bring the Christmas spirit to life.

“As it is the season of good will, we will also be making a donation to St Columba's Hospice using the proceeds raised by our Christmas Gin.”

Only 1,200 70cl bottles have been produced with an RRP of £35/bottle.

Edinburgh Gin’s new distillery is located beneath the Rutland Hotel at Edinburgh’s west end. Handcrafted in small batches with Scottish juniper berries, pine, heather and nine other selected botanicals, the gins are bottled in Edinburgh at 43%abv.
