International branding agency Bluemarlin has designed special limited packaging for Lindeman’s Nordic 3L boxed wine for the winter season. The two variants, Shiraz Cabernet and Chardonnay, are available in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Given the large number limited edition wines launched during the festive period, it’s always a challenge for a brand to distinguish itself. Bluemarlin was tasked to create a powerful design to animate the shelf, emphasising Lindeman’s premium quality cues rather than relying on stereotypically festive imagery.
Culturally relevant to the snow covered landscapes, sub-zero temperatures and warming fires of a Nordic Christmas, Bluemarlin’s design presents comforting winter scenes through the window of a large wine glass. A majestic fire in a cosy home blazes on the Shiraz-Cabernet pack, while the Chardonnay variant’s graphics feature a glowing winter sunset. The designs perfectly reflect the beauty and drama of a white winter, and the spirit of togetherness that’s so prominent over the festive period.
This year marks Bluemarlin’s 21th year in the brand design industry. Through the years, the agency has evolved from a UK packaging design firm to an international brand consultancy with studios in Europe, America, Asia and Australia.
