Warner Edwards has doubled its staff, welcoming to the team Ross Strachan as head of sales and Harriet Roe as business development manager.
After an extremely successful 2014, during which they attended over 40 fairs, hosted a royal visit and launched two new gin flavours, Elderflower and Rhubarb, it was decided that, in order for the company to continue to grow steadily and meet increasing demand, they had to get some extra hands on board.
Ross has been a friend of Tom Warner since 1990 and met Sion Edwards when visiting Tom at Harper Adams Agricultural College, where Tom and Sion first met. With a background in sales operations covering Europe for a large multinational, Ross has the necessary skills to allow Warner Edwards sales to continue to flourish.
Harriet graduated from York University in 2013, having read Environmental Science, and managed to turn her amateur gin drinking to professional after an interview involving baking Warner Edwards Dry Gin cupcakes. She will work closely alongside Tom and Ross as part of the sales team.
Warner Edwards Harrington Dry Gin recently won the People’s Choice Award for Best Gin at the Craft Gin Club after the club asked “Is Hendrick’s the UK’s favourite gin?”, to which loyal Warner Edwards fan’s voted NO. Warner Edwards received 11% of the more than 1,700 votes, against 110 other gins including Sipsmith, Hendrick’s, Tarquin’s and Bombay Sapphire.
