Diageo North America has introduced three new Caribbean flavours to its fleet of Captain Morgan rums with the launch of Captain Morgan Pineapple Rum, Captain Morgan Coconut Rum, and Captain Morgan Grapefruit Rum. These flavours are the newest additions to the brand’s portfolio of offerings that include Caribbean Original Spiced Rum, Caribbean Black Spiced Rum and in Caribbean White Rum.
The new rums have been created for cocktails using Captain Morgan Caribbean White Rum, which is made in the Caribbean from cane molasses, five times distilled, blended with natural flavours.
“This summer, we’re looking for consumers to flip over their hammocks and have a little fun with their mojitos and daiquiris by enjoying our new pineapple, coconut and grapefruit extensions,” said Dan Kleinman, VP marketing, rums for Diageo North America. “After last year’s successful launch of Captain Morgan White Rum, we wanted to expand our offerings in the category.”
At 70 proof (35% ABV), in the Caribbean Pineapple, Coconut and Grapefruit Rums are available nationally in the US, with a RRP of US$15.99 for a 750ml bottle.
