ABK6 Honey (70cl/35% abv) is a unique new liqueur made from Domaines Francis Abécassis Cognac and honey from a single origin – Charente woods.
Francis Abécassis, who produces unique Cognacs created from his own single estate, says: “I am convinced that blending eaux-de-vie from a Single Estate gives the Cognac inimitable character and depth.” Faithful to this philosophy, his daughter Elodie came with the idea to apply it to honey characteristics. Thus, she has chosen an intense and aromatic honey from a single origin: the Charentes woods, within the Cognac production region.
To create ABK6 Honey, during the ageing process cellar master Christian Guérin blends a subtle and refined Cognac, derived from the chalky vineyards, with the honey.
ABK6 Honey is elegant and subtle, revealing notes of flowers coming from both Cognac and honey: jasmine, violet, honeysuckle and rose petals. Then come warm feelings of spices and candied orange. These flavours are linked with vanilla wood and toffee.
The Abécassis family say they love to drink ABK6 Honey on ice or mixed with lemonade, ginger and lemon zest.
ABK6 is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Francis Abécassis, a pioneer of single estate Cognac, has seen great success with its innovative ABK6 Cognac – now distributed in many countries and awarded several times in the top tasting competitions.
