Half Hitch gin debuts in London bars

Only four months since its launch, Camden Lock’s small batch craft gin called Half Hitch is making significant inroads in the growing London gin scene. Premier London gin spot Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar llocated in the London Marriott Hotel, County Hall, has announced Half Hitch as its ‘Gin of the Month’ for March.

Half Hitch gin uses the finest single estate Malawian black tea and Calabrian Bergamot complemented with English wood, pepper and hay.

Made in The Vaults, Camden Lock, the gin is produced though vacuum distillation, which helps preserve the delicate flavours of the botanicals. The blend is distilled again in a copper pot still, which results in the 40% abv gin.

Half Hitch is priced at £39.95/70cl bottle.  Case of six bottles £239.70

Described as “an exotic-tasting and yet quintessentially British Gin”, Half Hitch echoes Gillray’s love of British heritage and tradition.

Leading Gillray’s March specials is the signature serve - the Half Hitch Hammer. A gin twist on the iconic ‘screwdriver’, the Half Hitch Hammer brings back gin and juice, the way gin was consumed before tonic came along. Made with freshly squeezed orange juice poured over ice, it’s served in a rocks glass and topped with 50ml of Half Hitch gin.
