Stovell's restaurant launches Wildcrafted Gin

Stovell’s fine-dining restaurant in the village of Chobam in Surrey, England, is launching its own, namesake gin. Stovell’s Wildcrafted Gin is a collaboration between Geyan Surendran – bar manager at Stovell’s – and co-chef proprietors Fernando and Kristy Stovell. It is distilled at low temperatures and bottled by hand in Chobham using only sustainable wild botanicals.

Stovell’s Wildcrafted Gin will be available from the end of April priced at £42 for 75cl.

Stovell’s is well known for focusing extensively on provenance; using foraged produce across both food and drink menus, and Stovell’s Wildcrafted Gin is an extension of this ethos. The organic, contemporary spirit is reflective of Stovell’s passion for using sustainably sourced, wild ingredients, with every botanical carefully selected to bring something special to the bottle. Classic notes of juniper are supported by meadow, forest and riverside botanicals, to create a gin that boasts a gentle sweetness with light floral, herbaceous and earthy notes.

Opened in 2012 by husband and wife team Fernando and Kristy Stovell, Stovell’s is set in a 16th century Tudor farmhouse in the heart of leafy Chobham village, championing a menu of seasonal and locally foraged contemporary European cuisine. In addition to winning Surrey Life’s Restaurant of the Year 2014, Stovell’s was delighted to be awarded Readers’ Restaurant of Year: South East in the 2015 Good Food Guide.
