Having collaborated for the first time in 2012, Chandon and ButterflyCannon have joined forces again to design limited edition bottles for Chandon’s summer campaign. Each year, the partnership has renowned success and has resulted in significant sales for the brand.
This year’s stand out Brut design again celebrates the all-American summer, emphasizing Chandon’s American heritage the bottle is wrapped in iconic stripes and championing the classic colours: red, white and blue. As with the previous editions, a nautical theme runs throughout the campaign, the overlapping stripes evoke a sense of movement and overlapping materials; of sails blowing in the summer breeze.
Fashion and trends were also a key influence for ButterflyCannon, and the team have taken the iconic stripes and reinterpreted them in a dynamic way. Each bottle has a satin label adding additional tactility, which is then further embellished with a subtle stitching detail to enforce this sense of layered textures. This fashion-led direction has ensured that the Chandon summer limited edition bottle is once again becoming the must-have summer accessory.
This year, for the first time, the team has worked together to create a Rose variant. The Rose bottle makes a splash through its bright pop of hot pink, and really captures the excitement and vibrancy of the summer season.
Morgan Robbat, brand director of Chandon, said: “Our annual Chandon Summer campaign continues to create an overwhelming buzz, and ButterflyCannon have again managed to produce a pack design which is bold and chic and captures the engagement of our target audience, providing them with the perfect way to celebrate the summer in style!”
Jon Davies, co-founder at ButterflyCannon said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue our partnership with Chandon, and having created such a successful campaign the challenge for us is to continue to produce designs which generate that level of excitement and consumer engagement. This year we have taken the nautical theme in a more iconic and fashion-led direction, resulting in a design that is both playful and seasonal, but also chic and on trend.”
The collection of Brut and Rose 750ml and 187ml bottles officially launches in May, in time for the summer celebratory season.
