Patrón Spirits has introduced a new addition to its Patrón Citrónge Liqueur portfolio. Patrón Citrónge Mango, available from this month in the US, is crafted from the highest-quality Ataulfo mangos from the Mexican states of Nayarit and Chiapas.
“Not only is Mexico known for tequila, the country has long been one of the world’s largest producers of top-quality fruits and citrus. Maybe it’s no coincidence then that fresh fruit flavors are the perfect complement in margaritas and countless other tequila cocktails,” says Ed Brown, president and CEO of Patrón Spirits.
“All three of our Patrón Citrónge liqueurs – Orange, Lime, and now Mango – not only are ideal ingredients in any number of delicious cocktails and food recipes, they also proudly showcase authentic Mexican flavor and heritage.”
Increasingly popular in cuisine and cocktails, the Ataulfo mango used to create Patrón Citrónge Mango is characterised by its oblong shape, bright yellow skin, non-fibrous flesh, and rich, sweet flavour. The refreshing mango taste of this liqueur is smooth and sweet with light citrus notes and a hint of pineapple and peach.
The cork-finished frosted bottle, available in 375ml, 750ml and 1 litre sizes, was designed to align with the Patrón Citrónge Orange and Patrón Citrónge Lime liqueur bottles. The package communicates Patrón’s upscale, ultra-premium position, and the extended neck on the bottle makes it simple and easy to pour.
Every step in producing Patrón tequila – from harvesting the highest-quality 100 percent Weber Blue Agave, to the traditional, time-honoured distillation process and individual labeling, numbering, and inspection of each bottle – is done with the careful precision and care that can only be accomplished by hand. Though Patrón has grown to become one of the most-recognised and respected luxury spirits brands in the world, it is still exclusively produced in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico in the same small batches and with the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Patrón Citrónge Mango is currently only available in the US, but distribution will soon expand into additional markets and eventually be available everywhere, the company says.
