Four Pillars, one of the fastest growing spirit brands in Australia, has launched its Rare Dry Gin into the UK market, through wine distributor Liberty Wines.
The company, which has continued its rapid growth since launching in 2013, has already claimed international gold medals for each of its three gins: Barrel Aged, Rare Dry and Navy Strength
Founded in Australia and distilled in the Yarra Valley, Four Pillars epitomises the wave of new generation gins. The combinations of its 10 trademark botanicals, including native Tasmanian pepperberry and lemon myrtle, results in a unique spirit, perfect in a classic G&T or modern cocktail twist. Perhaps the most extraordinary botanical of all though, is the use of whole oranges. Although traditionally unusual to use fresh fruit in distillation, the Australian citrus fruit (also grown in the Yarra Valley) are highly aromatic and complement the spiced botanicals.
Four Pillars is a small, privately held company owned and operated by partners Cameron Mackenzie, Stuart Gregor and Matt Jones. Each brings a particular set of skills to the business – Jones and Gregor both have almost 20 years experience in the wine industry and Mackenzie has rightly become renowned as one of Australia’s leading distillers. Gregor has also judged numerous wine shows, written columns and books and is also president of the Australian Distillers Association.
Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin (41.8%abv) is available from Liberty Wines for nationwide distribution.
