Edinburgh Gin has moved to a custom-made bottle. The Italian-made Bruni glass bottle has been designed to convey the premium cues of this unique gin product. It is also more slimline, making it easier to handle by bartenders.
In addition to the bespoke glass shape, the bottle also features a cork stopper, a delicately branded lid overlay with art-deco icons and an attractively designed label. The stylish exterior has Edinburgh Gin subtly etched onto the glass as well as embossed lines at the base for easier handling.
Commenting on the new bottle, Alex Nicol, managing director for Edinburgh Gin, says: “In an increasingly crowded category we needed to stand out from the competitive set. We also discussed the practical issues of handling the bottle with bartenders, consumers and our designers, Stranger and Stranger. I’m confident we have developed an elegant solution that is attractive to both consumers and trade alike.”
The Edinburgh Gin Distillery is located beneath the Rutland Hotel in Edinburgh’s West End. Handcrafted in small batches with the finest Scottish juniper berries, pine, heather and nine other carefully selected botanicals, the original Edinburgh Gin is bottled in Edinburgh at 43% ABV.
