Jascots Wine Merchants, a specialist supplier to restaurants, hotels and caterers ,has appointed Adam Porter as head of wine buying.
Adam, who successfully completed the first year of the Master of Wine education program earlier this month, joined Jascots in June 2014 as marketing manager with extensive experience in commercial buying. Over the past six months he has studied market trends and insight to develop a new range of 20 products, which will be launched to the market in September this year.
Jascots’ sales and marketing director, Miles MacInnes says:
“Adam has proven over the last six months that he has the commercial acumen, tenacity and flair to find and bring brilliant new wines to the UK market; we are delighted that he will be leading the exciting challenge of developing Jascots’ wine range. His task will be to continue bringing exciting new wines to market that surprise and delight our customers offering exceptional value for money.”
In his new role Adam will bring together Jascots’ marketing and buying departments to take advantage of new opportunities within the world of wine and to help give Jascots’ customers the edge in the competitive on-trade market of London and the UK.
