Jascots Wine Merchants, the London-based specialist supplier to restaurants, hotels and caterers, is introducing Rimbaud, a new Champagne brand exclusive to the on-trade.
Jascots has teamed up with Champagne Volleraux to create a Champagne that will appeal to all palates and pockets, whatever time of the day or occasion and will make an excellent addition to the festive celebrations.
Rimbaud Champagne production is limited to 40,000 bottles and it is made only with the free run juice – Tête de Cuvee –with an equal proportion of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. It is a blend of the three latest vintages to guarantee freshness and consistency. Such quality is achieved by a full control over the 42 hectares of Volleraux vineyards spread across Reims and Epernay.
Rimbaud spends at least 24 months aging for its non-vintage, plus a further three months resting after bottling. Rimbaud uses a high percentage of reserve wines, 30% on average but up to 50% if required. In addition, Champagne Rimbaud is bottled in a high quality but lighter weight glass bottle, lowering the cost to the environment.
Rimbaud will not be available to buy in retail or for private customers; it is a brand for the on-trade only which ensures that it will not be subject to the deep discounting of retailers that undermines on-trade margins.
Rimbaud is available exclusively to buy from Jascots Wine Merchants for £20.59 per bottle excluding VAT.
