Ian Macleod Distillers has announced the launch of Shieldaig Speyside single malt Scotch whisky as a travel retail exclusive, plus a new flavoured whisky called Rocket Cat.
The Shieldaig Speyside single malt Scotch whisky is available in a 50cl bottle plus a 1- litre bottles with a specially designed gift tube. Shieldaig, which translates to ‘Loch of the Herring’ in Old Norse, contains complex, yet balanced flavours. Smooth and elegant to taste, Sheildaig Speyside is bottled at 40% ABV.
Rocket Cat, a 'red hot spirit drink' combining Scotch whisky with spicy cinnamon, is 34% ABV and available in 50cl bottles. It is targeted at 21-25 year old consumers looking for a stronger cinnamon hit, as a shot or in cocktails. The drink is described as being "boistrous and not for the faint hearted" having a "cosmic kick back and after burn".
Also on show will be the newly designed Macleod’s Scotch Whisky Trail pack containing 5cl bottles from around the whisky producing regions of Scotland, including Speyside, Highland, Islay and Island single malts with a Lowland single grain malt whisky and Isle of Skye 8yo blended Scotch. The gift pack has an RRP of £26.00/€35.90/US$39.95.
The new whiskies and gift pack will be revealed at the TFWA World Exhibition taking place in Cannes between 19- 23 October (stand L7, Red Village) and will all be available from April 2016.
