In a bid to support the continuing expansion of The British Bottle Company into new markets, the company has this month appointed The Drinks Business magazine editor Gabriel Stone to the role of business development manager.
Gabby’s appointment follows a string of deals which have established The British Bottle Company as a leading exporter of premium British drinks since its establishment in 2014.
The company has introduced a number of British brands into the USA and Canada as well as several European, Asian and Pacific rim markets.
These include the launch of three English wineries in the USA, taking Chapel Down to Singapore, introducing Jake’s Orchard cider to Hong Kong, launching Henney’s Cider and Once Upon a Tree in Japan, as well as establishing Chilgrove Gin in Canada, Pinkster gin in Australia and four English sparkling wines in Japan.
Gabby will be developing relationships with import partners, as well as working with suppliers to enhance their brand propositions for export. She will also be working alongside the company’s Advisory Board of leading experts to publish regular trend bulletins for clients worldwide.
Red Johnson, founder and CEO of The British Bottle Company says, “Gabby’s passion for British drinks is matched by a real understanding of how to communicate the uniqueness and quality of what we produce. She is both well connected and highly respected and her appointment reinforces our position as the leading promoter of the best British drinks worldwide.”
Gabriel Stone says, “This is an extremely exciting time for the British drinks industry and The British Bottle Company is at the forefront of developing worldwide exports for the very best producers. I’m thrilled by this opportunity to help bring these delicious drinks and the inspiring people behind them to a wider international audience.”
