Distillery attempts crowd sourced listing

The Cotswolds Distillery is embarking on a creative and unique path in an effort to get its Cotswolds Dry Gin stocked in Waitrose by attempting a crowd marketing campaign. With shared values in terms of a commitment to quality products and local suppliers the Cotswolds Distillery believes this would be the perfect retail partnership.

The local distillery is a relatively new venture, and has been producing gin since opening in September 2014. Since then a loyal following for the brand has emerged with positive feedback coming through. Owner Daniel Szor decided to put this feedback to work by creating a petition requesting to be stocked in Waitrose.

Daniel Szor says: “We have built up a fantastic loyal following in such a short time and we thought this petition would allow Waitrose to see and hear how everyone feels about Cotswolds Dry Gin reassuring them there is a market there for our products. We’re not sure anything like this has been done before but we are a distillery of firsts – so this sort of thing is right up our alley. We really do hope all our customers support this campaign and maybe help us to make history by becoming the first ever crowd marketed gin.”
