Beam Suntory Global Travel Retail is introducing Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master’s Select, the newest addition to the award-winning Hibiki range from the House of Suntory Whisky.
Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master’s Select (43% ABV) is inspired by the richness and subtlety of Japan’s 24 seasons and brings to life the harmony of Japanese nature and craftsmanship.
Packaged in a 24-faceted bottle and Japanese traditional paper ‘Washi’ label, it is a blend of more than ten of the finest malt and grain whiskies. Aged in five different types of casks from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries, it was developed by fourth chief blender Shinji Fukuyo and its production overseen by the third generation master blender and great-grandson of the founder, Shingo Torii.
With sweet sherry notes, Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master’s Select is described as a delicate harmonious expression that is subtle and complex. The recommended serve is with a hand-carved iceball for the ultimate Japanese experience, but it is an extremely versatile blend and can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, blended with water or mixed as a cocktail.
Beam Suntory GTR marketing director, Michael Cockram says: “Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master’s Select is an unprecedented exclusive blend, the first in travel retail. The demand for Japanese whisky is consistently increasing and the launch allows us to make this globally acclaimed whisky accessible to a wider audience. Our Japanese whiskies are prized brands within our portfolio and will become increasingly important as we introduce further exclusives in GTR in 2016.”
Hibiki Japanese Harmony Master’s Select is available now at €70 in a 700ml bottle. Further exclusive expressions from Beam Suntory’s Japanese whisky portfolio will be unveiled in 2016.
