UK wine agency Barwell & Jones has announced further investment into its sales team.
Tim Gray joins Barwell & Jones as business development manager for London and will be primarily supporting the company’s key routes to market in London and driving Barwell & Jones’ wines in the on-trade. The appointment coincides with a recent acquisition of a second New Zealand winery, Summerhouse, and in advance of a big year for the company’s South American brands ahead of the 2016 Olympics.
Gray joins Barwell & Jones with experience in various areas of the wine trade, most recently as beverage manager at Lime Wood Group and Home Grown Hotels where he also worked as head sommelier at ‘THE PIG – on the beach’.
Gray has worked in the cellars at Kumeu River Winery and previously spent three years with Majestic hosting tastings on both customer and corporate levels.
Steve Gerrard, MD of Barwell & Jones, comments, "We are incredibly proud of our brands, and as the reputation of our portfolio grows we are delighted to welcome Tim to the team. The on-trade is a key channel in the development of our brands, and Tim’s experience in wine sales and business development will help us continue our company expansion and drive the business forward over the next few years.”
