Independent bottler That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) has released a 52 year old single grain Scotch whisky featuring Black Rock whisky bar’s Tristan Stephenson and Thomas Aske.
The whisky is from the now-closed Carsebridge distillery and has a RRP of £231.95.
Known for its fun graphic-novel style labels, as well as award-winning whiskies, TBWC’s latest release features world-class bartenders, mixologists and whisky enthusiasts Tristan Stephenson and Thomas Aske. The duo are best known as the folk behind top London cocktail bars such as the Worship Street Whistling Shop and Purl, but their latest project is an innovative whisky bar in Shoreditch named Black Rock. Their mission is to demystify whisky and make it simple and fun for all, something which is also fundamental to everything TBWC do
The label depicts the Black Rock duo sat at the bar’s extraordinary 18-foot long European oak tree trunk table, complete with two 17 litre channels for ageing whiskies and cocktails as well as taps for serving them! A voucher can also be found on the back of each bottle allowing the purchaser to exchange it (once empty) at Black Rock for a free secret off-menu cocktail.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s range of whiskies is available to buy from many fine retailers including Amazon, Master of Malt, Selfridges, Hedonism Wines, Majestic Wines and Harvey Nichols.
